Apprentice Training I MODULE
The Apprentice Training Module is for principals that want to prepare their firms next generation for the business development responsibilities that come with firm leadership.
Unlike generic training programs, we use your firm’s own BD plan as the framework.
Rising stakeholders gain hands-on experience by applying Fusion BD’s proven business development processes directly to your strategic goals and long-term vision for growth.
They will learn the basics of client development, networking, sales cycle, lead generation, and the role of marketing, as it relates to your firms strategic plan and vision for growth. Then they will develop and implement their own specific-and-measurable plan for engaging current and potential clients.

ELEMENTS OF A/E/C BD
Review of the primary elements of A/E/C business development including End User engagement preferences as revealed in our 2025 End-User Survey.
Client development and relationship building.
Marketing and BD interrelationship.
Networking and market visibility.
Lead generation strategies.
BD SALES CYCLE
Review of the typical sales cycle including Researching and target client identification.
Cold calling vs Warm Calling.
Marketings role in the sales cycle.
Project pursuit action steps and tracking.
Historical review of examples of your firm's project pursuits – Wins & Losses

BD/MARKETING PLAN CREATION
Using your firms BD plan they will create targeted client pursuit plans. Under principal guidance, and with Fusion BD’s tutelage, apprentices will create and implement specific and measurable plans for engaging both current and potential clients, turning theory into practice and ensuring alignment with your firm’s growth strategy.
